UPDATE for Covid-19: The Redfish Chamber music festival is moving forward, and monitoring the situation. We are watching other music camps around the country, some of which have not canceled. Since ours is late in the summer we are waiting to see what develops. If we cancel the festival, all application fees will be refunded.

Step 1:

Pay the $25 application fee using the PayPal button below.

Step 2:

Record your audition video. The video should consist of two selections (at least 5 minutes each) of your choice demonstrating your strengths as a player. Next, click on the pdf for your instrument and prepare the short excerpt as part of your video. (If you apply as a pre-formed ensemble, you only need to provide a one video of your quartet playing. You will not need to record the excerpts.)

Once you have recorded your video, post it to a media platform such as YouTube. It can be a private video. Make sure the video you post has your full name listed. Once you post your video, write down the link to your file, you will need it to put into our application in the final step.

Step 3:

A letter of recommendation is required. Your recommender may send it directly. Email is preferred. If your recommender provides you with a letter, you may send it as an attachment.

Step 4:

Fill out the application. Click the button below.


Remember to have your audition video upload link ready. Copy and paste the link into the appropriate question on the application.

Step 5:

Applications will be evaluated on a rolling basis. Early applications are encouraged. Students will be notified as groups are formed and accepted. Final application deadline is April 1st. Students will be notified of acceptance no later than April 15.


If you accepted, a deposit of half tuition is due June 1st to hold your place in the festival. This can be paid through the button in Step 6 below, or sent by check to Fritz Gearhart, c/o Redfish Chamber Music Festival, 30 W 38th Ave, Eugene, OR 97405.

Step 6:

After you are accepted, a non-refundable deposit of half tuition is due June 1st. The remainder is due at the start of the festival. You may use the PayPal button below to complete the transaction. See options in pull down menu. (Tuition based on double occupancy rooms, single rooms add $200).
